Scenes
What is a scene?
A scene is a saved snapshot of which clips are active across all your layers. Triggering a scene launches multiple clips at once, instantly switching the entire visual state.
Think of scenes like a lighting console. Each one stores a complete look that you can recall with a single press.
Launching a scene
Press a scene cell in the scene grid to launch it. All clips stored in that scene activate simultaneously. Layers not included in the scene are deactivated automatically.
Saving a scene
To save the current state as a scene:
- Activate the clips you want across your layers
- Long-press (or right-click) an empty scene cell
- The current clip state is saved to that cell
The scene stores which clip is active on each layer. It does not store parameter values. Those come from the clip’s variant.
Naming and coloring
Each scene can have a custom name and color. Right-click a saved scene to edit its name or pick a color. Colors help you organize scenes visually during a performance.
Eject all
The eject button deactivates all clips across all layers, returning to a blank state. Use it to clear the stage between sections of a performance, or before building a new look from scratch.
How many scenes?
A composition can hold up to 16 scenes. They are saved as part of the composition file.
